Beam Mobility's eco-friendly ride-sharing service is one solution to reduce the reliance on fossil-fuel vehicles.

Jakarta, June 26, 2023, Beam Mobility, the largest micro-mobility company in Asia Pacific, created a new milestone by partnering with three residential areas within a month. This is a special achievement by Beam Mobility in Indonesia. The partnership started in early June with Jababeka, followed by Citra Raya, and most recently Kota Harapan Indah, Bekasi. Beam Mobility provides electric bike ride-sharing services in commercial, residential, educational, and urban areas.

Through the implementation of ride-sharing services for environmentally friendly vehicles, Beam Mobility seeks to contribute to creating a cleaner, safer, more enjoyable, and less polluting environment. The service initiated by Beam Mobility is one of the alternative solutions to reduce dependence on the use of fossil fuel vehicles, thus helping the Indonesian government's efforts in pursuing the Net Zero Emission target by 2060. 

Currently, Beam Mobility operates electric scooter and bicycle-sharing services in more than 60 cities in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Thailand, Korea, and Turkey. In Indonesia, Beam Mobility has established a presence in several cities and regions, including Bogor and Bali. Furthermore, Beam's services have also been available in several residential areas and educational areas, such as the University of Indonesia in Depok.

GM Corporate Marketing Jababeka Residence, Eric Limansantoso, said, "We really appreciate and support Beam Mobility's efforts to introduce environmentally friendly micro-mobility fleet services in Kota Jababeka. After presenting this service for approximately two months, we see significant changes in the community in Kota Jababeka, one of which is the use of Beam fleets, especially by students here. Specifically in Jababeka, we also inaugurated the first Beam Mobility warehouse in the region. This warehouse will later function for storage of units and spare parts needed, of course, to facilitate the use of Beam vehicles."

Meanwhile, the Township Management Manager of PT Ciputra Residence, Fransiscus Yohanes, revealed, "This collaboration is in line with the EcoCulture initiative that we implement here. Citra Raya is a residential area that has an area of around 2760 ha. The presence of Beam Mobility's environmentally friendly vehicles is part of our effort to provide the best facilities for Citra Raya residents. There are hundreds of educational, recreational, health, religious, and retail facilities where Beam's eco-friendly vehicles can accommodate the mobility of more than 70 thousand of our residents.

The same thing was also said by GM Town Management Damai Putra Group, Vita Hanum Zola, who added, "Kota Harapan Indah is a 2200 ha independent area in the east of Jakarta that always prioritizes the needs of residents, especially the need for a beautiful and pollution-free environment. Our collaboration with Beam Mobility is also in line with the government's Blue Sky program. There are 500 Beam fleets that can be used by residents of Kota Harapan Indah, and this fleet can be one of the alternative environmentally friendly vehicles for fun short trips."

All Beam Mobility fleets have a maximum speed limit of 25 km/h and are equipped with IoT technology features so that vehicle conditions can be monitored in real-time through geofencing activation and can automatically detect if there are problems, such as when a battery replacement is required. Each fleet is also equipped with a backup battery.
