According to the World Health Organization (WHO), stunting is a condition in which children's growth and development are impaired, as indicated by their height or length being below the standard. Indonesia has set a target of reducing the prevalence of stunting to a maximum of
14% by 2024. In Bekasi Regency, the stunting rate has decreased from 21% in 2021 to 17% in 2022. However, further initiatives are needed to reach the target of 14% in 2024. To support this initiative, Damai Putra Group, through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, "Damai Putra Peduli Cegah Stunting," conducted an educational session for Posyandu (Integrated Health Service Post) officers in Setia Asih District, Bekasi Regency. The event, held on Thursday, November 23, 2023, at the Setia Asih District Hall, Tarumajaya District, Bekasi Regency, was a collaboration between Damai Putra Group and Setia Asih District. The educational session on stunting was provided by Dr. Linda Setyowati, a doctor from Eka Hospital Harapan Indah Bekasi. The education covered understanding what stunting is, the causes and effects of stunting, how to prevent stunting by choosing the right type of food, and the role of PKK and officers in preventing stunting. Additionally, Damai Putra Group donated foodstuffs for stunting prevention, such as eggs, green beans, milk, and biscuits. "We hope that this CSR activity will help meet the needs of the local community and raise awareness about the importance of good parenting practices in preventing stunting. In the long run, stunting not only has a negative impact on children's growth and development but can also increase the risk of infectious diseases," said Monique Hardjoko, GM of Corporate Marketing Communications at Damai Putra Group.
